Buddyzm w literaturze na przykładzie opowiadania

STRESZCZENIE

Artykuł sytuuje się na styku literaturoznawstwa i kulturoznawstwa, gdyż dotyczy metod zaprezentowania wątków buddyjskich w beletrystyce. Analiza ogranicza się do opowiadania Iwan Kublahanow autorstwa współczesnego rosyjskiego pisarza Wiktora Pielewina. Rozważania opierają się na przyjęciu doktryny współzależnego wyłaniania za oś utworu. Wskazane zostają również nawiązania do czterech szlachetnych prawd, konceptu anātmana czy Tybetańskiej księgi umarłych. Każdy z elementów zostaje pokrótce wyjaśniony, a jego obecność w tekście ukazana w oparciu o liczne cytaty.

as an example of Buddhism in literature

ABSTRACT

The subject of this article brings together literary theory and cultural studies as it concerns the introduction of Buddhist elements into literature. Victor Pelevin's Ivan Kublakhanov is studied as an example of this literary phenomenon. The axis of this short story is assumed to be the doctrine of dependent arising. The Four Noble Truths, the concept of Anātman and The Tibetan Book of the Dead are also taken into consideration. Each element is explained briefly and supported by a presentation of appropriate passages from the story.
